Guest guest
Hi All! Someone recently suggested to me that I file for SSI for my son. I started researching at according to the Soc. Sec Admin, a family of 2 adults and 2 minor children cannot earn more than $3,630.00 annually for a disabled child to receive SSI. Does anyone know if that sounds correct? I was just kind of blown away by that number. With the poverty level being much higher, this number just doesn't make sense. From what I was told it seems that once he turns 18 they no longer consider family income. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks
