Guest guest
I hope I'm posting this message correctly... I have CMT1A and at 54 years old, was just told by my eye doctor that I have cataracts. He then asked me if I ever had taken cortizone. Why? I asked. He said cortiszone can cause a person to develop cataracts, later in life. I also heard that cortizone can cause stomach problems. I don't know if that is true, but I have that too, though probably there are other causative factors involved there, I'm guessing. Too bad the doctors don't give their patients this info up front, so individuals can decide whether they want to take the risk or not. I know some doctors do, but mine didn't.
