Hi,

My mum was wanting to know if anyone on here knows anything about

how or if cortizone injections can affect or harm a person with CMT.

She has CMT 1A and needs to make a decision within a couple of days on

whether or not to have a cortizone injection for arthritis. The reason

she is hesitating is that she has heard that cortizone can cause

muscular atrophy. I laughed and said well it's not a problem as you

already have that! But as she pointed out to me, if it can cause

muscular atrophy, can it make CMT worse? So does anyone have any

ideasfor us please? Thanks,

Megs from New Zealand.
