She has never been in the military. Her condition is a result of a disease

called Sjogrens Syndrome. Her father was a machinist with the government.

They lived near Love Canal when she was a child, and then he went to work

at Oak Ridge TN.

Thanks for your concern

Hi, ! And a happy new year to you, too! I hope the good health you

are currently experiencing lasts the year - do we dare hope for the

millennium?

The flurry of activity that was going on with the message boards, etc., did

kind of take a back seat to the holidays - at least that was true in my

case. I've been un-decking the halls here at my house and putting back my

usual stuff - still about another afternoon's worth of cleaning and

straightening until it looks like Christmas is out of sight/out of mind for

another year.

As for me, I'm continuing to do remarkably well after my laparoscopic

surgery. In fact, I've seen both my gastroenterologist and surgeon since

mid-December and both pronounced me " cured " enough not to come back for six

months to a year - unless I experience some difficulties in the meantime.

The way I feel now I can't foresee that happening.

I still have plans to contribute to the achalasia website - I've been out of

touch with Donn Davy since the holidays hit, too - but I've put that on my

" things to do " list for this week. In the meantime, stay well - check the

boards, the website, or just drop me a line!

Take care!

Carol

Hi,

I also get that feeling of a fever. Some of the nurses told me " your

temperature is highest at night. take your temperature at night. "

BUT I've taken my temp in the mornings and find I sometimes have a

slight fever (99.0 to 99.4) in the mornings and am fine at night

(even though I FEEL like I have a fever).

Also late in the nights/early in the mornings between 4am and 7am,

I'll wake up cuz my feet are so hot!! Sometimes I feel hot all over,

but definitely my feet.

Hi Terri with 2 *R's*! Good to hear from you. I keep everyone on my mind and in my prayers as well.

I'm so glad you made arrangements to take it easy for a while. It makes all the difference in the world when you can just lay down when you feel like it. I used to fight the fatigue and ended up taking 2-hour naps. Now I give in to it when it strikes, and find the naps are much shorter and I get more done. It's good that your sisters will help out with your mom - mine doesn't live with me, but I spent the day with her yesterday, and was just exhausted afterward. She's 82 and even though she's pretty able-bodied yet, it's all the little things I have to do for her that wear me out.

The flowers sound wonderful, I hope you have a relaxing time to yourself.

Hugs,

Marilyn

Hello Everyone,

I just finished writing to all of you, and I ended up wiping everything off the screen....thats so frustrating. Someday I am going to get the hang of this computer. I always read everyones posts, I am just not very good at writing back, but I always keep all of you guys on my mind and say a prayer for all every day. I read that you guys are trying to set up chat sessions on messenger...I am going to try to put you guys on mine. Edajane, you said you live in Washington State, where in washington are you? Spokane is my Home town, and I really hope I get back to the Pacific Northwest, nothing compares, at least in my eyes. Well I finally took a leave of abscence from work, and got all the arrangements made to send my mother back to Spokane for the summer, (my sisters can help me out) and give me a break this summer. I have not been by myself for so long....this will feel like heaven. I love my mother, but she just does not realize how much any type of work t! akes out of you, and by the end of the day I am drained. (You guys know that one).

I have a bottom floor apartment with a patio and small yard. My enjoyment is my flowers. The residents around here call me the flower girl. I have lots of color. It makes me feel good that everyone around enjoys them as much as I do.

Well I'll say goodbye.......everyone take care,

Hi Marilyn........

Yes I am going to enjoy a couple of months of only having to worry about me. It's been so long I can't remember what its like. Ha! Ha!

Even though she is gone, I will worry. I know that my sisters are in for big surprise. They really do not know how much work it is to taking care of her. She has had a stroke, has neoropathy damage and does not walk well. I love her and hope she lives another 20 years, but she is a handful. Take care Marilyn, thanks for the thought.

I have a sister, bro in law and lots of cousins

that live in Great Falls. I graduated from the

College of Great Falls before it became a

University. I sure wouldn't want to leave the

Northwest for any length of time. This nice

fresh air is hard to take isn't it? The farthest

east I have ever been is Houston Tex. and even

though it was in April, it was already very

humid.

Hi Edajane,

I remember many years ago......going to montana to

drink, (that of course was back in my rowdy days of a

teenager)Drinking age I think back then was 19, of

course they have gotten wise and changed it to 21 now.

One of my favorite places is Sand Point Idaho. Lake

ponderay (I know I did not spell that correctly) is

absolutly beautiful. That is going to be my first

place of choice, and then I'll check on other places.

Take care, love Terri...2r's

My husband has cousins in Sand Point, Hope and

Fork, all within 30 miles of ea. other and

all on the lake. You are so right...It is

beautiful there. God's country if you please.

My hubby was born and raised 50 miles over the

border into Mt. on the same road and I was born

and raised about 70 miles into Mt. but on another

road. I grew up on the banks of the s Fork

river. You can follow it all athe way until it

feeds into the Pond'deRey Lake. (I can't spell it

either.)

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to check in and say Hi and hope that

everyone is doing Ok! I finally got my mother off to

Spokane to spend the summer with my sisters, and now I

have a quiet home. I'm not sure what to do. Waiting on

my results on my last blood work. By the time I hear

anything it will be time for more blood work. Hot

Humid and Hazy here, so I try not to go outside. The

heat really gets to me. My girlfriend from work was

going to take me to the new ripken stadium for a game,

but I had to past. Heat index is over 100. There will

be other times when I'm finally off the treatments.

Ok I am going to go....God bless and take care

everyone.

Love Terri 2R's
