Gait & Foot Function Analysis Seminar

October 4 - 5, 2008 - Washington, D.C.

The role of force and time in biomechanics.

This course highlights the use of pressure mapping technology to

analyze foot function and gait. Pressure mapping is more than vivid

graphics of the feet on your computer; it storyboards what is

happening during stance and walking.

Tekscan data instantly reveals:

Timing - time the feet are on the ground and speed at which they move

Trajectory - path the center of force travels

Symmetry - gait and isolated pivoting foot curve patterns

Why do these parameters matter?

They indicate the effect of a condition on foot and gait function and

guide your treatment approach. Positively affecting these parameters

improves function.
