Guest guest
For about six months now I've been getting increasingly regular, and sometimes violent, chest spasms. Think Joe Cocker at Woodstock and that's how I get when they're really bad. I take CoQ10 to keep them under control, but the dose must increase or they return. I'm up to 600mg per day and will up to 750 soon. 1200mg/day seems to be the max indicated. Someone posted that Cymbalta caused tremors like this, and I found some web evidence regarding it, so I stopped taking cymbalta. The tremors stopped (and my mind cleared up, and I have more energy) for a bit, but have now returned. Today I had a violent set of spasms in the doctors office. Actually, I let them happen so he could see them. His eyes got wide and he was in the referral book before he went to the next patient. It doesn't seem like one of the CMT checklist of common symptoms. Does anyone else have anything like this going on? Thanks. O BTW, I've had these for about 15 years, but until the last year, they were just a quick jerk every six months or so. I was working in a corporate america dilbertville and when they'd happen, I'd think I needed a vacation. Until I got one on a beach in Hawaii. Then I didn't know what to think, but at once every six months, I wasn't too concerned.
Guest guest
, Ask your doc about Symmetrel. It has many uses, I have been taking it for tremors for about a year, and it works well. Safe and no side effects for me. Just keeps tremors under control. I had the spacisty in my teens, somewhere along the line that just left (or maybe the Valium and Tequila took care of that!), but ever since my sophomore year in college, I've had tremors. Have tried Elavil (Amitriptyline - which worked well for a long time, Ativan (works but has 'dependency' factor, Inderal (made my heart race) and Primidone (which gave me awful ataxia) I like the Symmetrel the best. If you want to go 'natural' there is an amino Isoleucine can help (so I've researched, but not tried) shop around on prices. Food sources of Isoleucine It is present in almonds, cashews, chicken, eggs, fish, lentils, liver, meat etc. Gretchen
