intramuscular stimulation update

For those interested, here is my report back after a few days.

The day after (Friday) my feet definitely felt relaxed as did my shin

muscles and peroneal muscles (normally my feet, and tibs, and peroneals are

all super tight). Friday I go for physio work to relax my feet and legs,

primarily, a two hour session, and when I arrived we tried to figure out

what was different. In our opinion my muscles were all more relaxed, like

at the end of a usual physiotherapy session. My right foot also was

definitely straighter / more relaxed (for some reason my left just does not

respond the same way and in general is much worse than my right).

The physio said that it was easier for him to go deeper to relax my muscles

more. The areas not relaxed by the needle stimulation were still really

tight, noticeably so. So I go back on Tuesday and am going to ask for more

needles to my lower legs, but also my hamstrings, and hips. I have started

doing a cross-tread at the gym (like a two track treadmill that angles

itself on each step) and it has really tightened my left hip. The same

happened when I used to run, which is why I stopped. But now that I know 20

minutes of needling can release the muscle and although painful I feel great

after, I am all over combining exercise and this IMS approach.

Thanks to Gretchen for forwarding the article!
