Guest guest
I have severe dry mouth as a result of the varied medications I take, and the end result is aggressive tooth decay that is out of control. Does anyone else have similar stories to share? I'd appreciate knowing that I'm not alone here. It is very depressing to keep fighting a loosing battle. My dentist tells me that within a year, all of my teeth will be gone. This is heartbreaking, since I've spent a lot of time and money to maintain my teeth, and now I have to watch and listen as they crumble right before my eyes. Guest guest
I also suffer from dry mouth so bad I can't make a clear sentence. I would recommend before you get too down on yourself that you try chewing sugarless gums, or carrying a bottle of drinking water with you. I too have had some problems, and pharmacisists(?) have told me that this helps. I hope it helps you too. Nina in Stockton, CA
Guest guest
Thanks Nina. I've recently faced the unpleasant fact that most of my teeth will probably be gone within the year, and that implants or dentures are in my near future. I understand that dentures don't have to be the living hell they once used to be, so I'm not as upset over that prospect anymore. For the time being, I'm fighting like hell to hang onto what I've got left. But realistically, when it gets to the point that I'm just throwing good money after bad, I'll have everything removed and move onto the next logical solution.
