Balance and Can't Get Support (Literally)

Hello all,

I am trying very hard to get any doctor to see me and recommend anything that

will help my balance.  My primary doctor won't write me a script for a cane or

other recommended mobility devices because he wants an OT to work with me on

that.  The OT therapist said that's not what a OT therapist does.  He referred

me to a PT.  The PT therapist told me he has no idea how to get a prescription

for a cane even that people he treats already come in with those when they

arrive.  He told me they don't even have canes there to use to show me.  I spoke

to the manager and I was told if I was hospitalized the hospital will write a

script for one.  I am not going to purposely put myself in a hospital for a

simple prescription for a cane. 

No doctor wants to see me for liability reasons so I continue to get no

treatment.  I have seen 2 neurologists, 2 pain specialists, 2 physiatrists, OP,

PT,  etc and so far none will do anything but pass me along.

Does anyone have any suggestions?  I fall every day and I am hurting myself.  I

live in NJ and went to the hospitals recommended by the CMTA.
