Hi ,

This is from an Italian website about funding research by European Union. The

project looks interesting but I feel they first should see if AA is effective on

CMT (the result of the Italian human AA trial will be known in the next year).

Now all the CMT research is about AA, which will help people with asymptomatic

or mild CMT 1A, not people who have already lost their muscles such as those who

need AFOs. Despite AA cannot be patented, there is a lot of money around AA

treatment, because neurologists can benefit from funding by Telethon, states and

European Union. It is hoped that the the results of the trial will not be

influenced by economic interests.
