I joined this group because I want to know more about how other people cope with CMT. Unfortunatelly, I don't know anyone else with this disease in Sweden, it is very rare. I am 37 years old and have had the condition since I was 2. I think I have the form CMT 4F, but it is not confirmed. I don't use any walking aids, but I have problems with my balance and with hearing. I have tried wearing an AFO, but I find it easier to walk without. I have got a cochlear implant for he aring and it helps a lot. I work as a research engineer and I live with my partner and our 5 year old son.
