Guest guest
Hi! I am new to the group. We just put our 8 month old son into the DOC band and I have a huge concern. has always had a VERY hot head...he sweats non-stop from his head. Since we have put him into the band, we have to take the band off every hour or so to mop his head down. It is just soaking wet. We have been told that this will begin to lessen in a week or two, but I'm not sure about that. Has anyone else had this problem with banding a hot headed child? Did the sweating ever stop? I am so worried that will overheat in the band. And, of course, I am really worried about his comfort level. He just seems so miserable. I would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks! , 's mom
Guest guest
Hi, My daughter is not having a sweating problem, but my friend's son does. The orthotist at our clinic recommended Zeasorb powder. He said it was available through the pharmacy, but they might have to order it for you. I don't think they really want people using it unless it is absolutely necessary because it can get into the baby's lungs. I would check with your clinic about Zeasorb. This kind of freaked out my friend, so she decided not to use it. But the poor little guy is sweating up a storm!! a. ----- Original Message ----- From: <jaime_m1@...> <Plagiocephalyegroups> Sent: Saturday, August 12, 2000 5:44 AM Subject: Overheating head in band Hi!
