Kathy, we have BCBS of Ks and they covered the band 100%. We also go to

RDA. I hope they cover it for you. What do you mean that it is under

investigation? Ann

The MO BCBS group is investigating the results of the doc band. They do not

know how good the results have been with the use of the band and they now

want to investigate it. That means that they do not pay anything until they

are done with the investigation.

Kathy:

I tried to reply to you from home--don't know if I was successful or not.

We have BCBS of Illinois and are receiving nearly identical @#*%@#% & from

them about the DOC band being investigational. Keep in touch if you have

the time, we will do likewise.

Subject: MO BCBS Doc Band Under Investigation

Hello:

We recently moved to KCMO and are getting ready to cast for our sons second

doc band. We were so excited because we were under the impression that this

band would be covered by BCBS Federal. We had a long process with his first

band and are still in the appeals process with that one. Anyway, to make a

long story short as of June 1 the doc band is under investigation with the

BCBS insurance. Which means we will have to pay in full upfront, appeal,

and

not see any refund until they are done with the investigation. Who knows

how

long that can last. Does anyone have any info on this or insight.

Thank You

Kathy
