We we're told at 1.5 months old our son had Torticollis and

Plagiocephaly . We have taken him to 2 different Nerosurgons and the

back to the first just yesterday . And all the running arround one

says he don't even do Helmets but , he could use one . The other one

says yes he has plagio but , is to old for a helmet .... HOW DO YOU

GET THAT A BABY WHO NEEDS A HELMET IS TO OLD . DOES IT HURT TO GIVE

IT A TRY ?? Well my son's PT & OT say he could use a helmet and I

even took the PT report but , the Dr. didn't even look at it . Didn't

even take a ruler out , but it isn't that noticeable , he says . I'm

sorry if it can't be seen that much how could

he tell with out using a ruler . The Doctor tried to say when he gets

hair it won't be as noticeable . But , only when it is wet .Well I

guess

I'm not his mother and know it will always be there do to someone not

willing to try ... Well I'm not finished .... I don't give up so

easy . I just needed to hear from someone else that it's not TOO LATE

TRY TRY AGAIN ..................Thank you Write back if you

have any info to share with a Mommy who just wants to help her little

man ....(Austin was born 12 - 29 - 99 ) And my if someone knows how

to get a Dr. in INDIANA???

Our 7 1/2 mo old just got his. The dr. said that up to 10 mos the

head grows about 1 cm per month, after that it slows way down and

stops at about 12 mo. He said the baby should wear the helmet 23 hrs

a day until 10 mos old, then just at night until 12 mos. He wanted to

wait until the baby was at least 6 months before even considering a

helmet. Obviously our dr. would say 7 1/2 is not too late! Hope that

helps.
