Guest guest
Hi I know that teflon non-stick coating is a big baddie in terms of NT and health in general. I use titanium coated pans which are heavy bottomed and non-stick but teflon-free. They really are excellent and I would recommend them to anyone (In the UK, you can get them for a fair price from Professional Cookware Company discount outlet in McArthur Glen). Does anyone know of any health concerns linked to cooking with titanium? Thanks Jo ________________________________________________________________________ Messenger - Communicate instantly... I have some titanium earrings though .. they seem very non-reactive. As far as earrings I can say that titanium is less reactive (and harder) than surgical stainless, so in theory ... The " pure titanium " pans they sell for hiking though don't look at all like the ones they sell as nonstick ... the nonstick ones have a black coating, which means they process the titanium somehow? Anodized? where is that chemistry brain of yours? -- Heidi
