Guest guest
wow, that article is incredible! brilliant writing style and brilliant content! thanks Allan! I learned a new word, " biome " , in there that could be very useful. " The globe has a limited stock of temperate grasslands, just as it has a limited stock of all other biomes. " This is a great factoid for promoting our NT whole foods philosophy: " The grinding, milling, wetting, drying, and baking of a breakfast cereal requires about four calories of energy for every calorie of food energy it produces. A twopound bag of breakfast cereal bums the energy of a half-gallon of gasoline in its making. All together the food-processing industry in the United States uses about ten calories of fossil-fuel energy for every calorie of food energy it produces. " The author's discussion of meat-eating at the end is brilliant. I hope everyone reads this one through carefully, and I'll definitely be reading the author's new book.
