WELL DONE Michele..!

sorry I can't answer the B12 Q but the texture problem might be over come by

removing the meat from the bone when he's not looking :-), mixing it with some

of the veggies + herbs/spices and an egg, shaping the lot into little patties,

and shallow frying them in some coconut oil... in my experience, kids love fried

patties almost regardless of what's in them... you can give those patties a

'name' he can relate to so they're even more 'interesting' for him..! let us

know how it goes...

good luck,

Dedy

probably not a lot protein in the broth, but b12 is water-soluble and

heat-stable, so those two facts suggest there is probably enough in

the broth, but i really don't know enough to say this with

confidence. hide a smidgen of liver in something for him... don't

worry, he'll warm up to meat soon enough...

I'll second what Dedy says. My experience is that

little kids don't like to CHEW -- might have to

do with all those loose teeth they keep

getting. But sausage and hamburger and fried

patties ... also pate -- I get some from Trader

Joe's and they love that (without the peppercorns).

I want to learn to make liverwurst, they like that too.

Hello! To the lady with the patty idea (accidentally deleted your email, so

I'm sorry I lost your name), thank you ! I put chicken from the soup a

carrot peice, a few potato cubes, celery, and some mush(your guess is as

good as mine) along with some leftover chicken from a roast(to make it a bit

thicker) in the food processor until it was a soft mush, mixed it with raw

egg, and pan fried it in coconut oil. It came out like pancakes and he ate 5

the size of silver dollars!! He's never had pancakes, BTW. It was nice and

crunchy on the outside and acceptable soft and smooth on the inside.

He has weird texture stuff... and this linger time problem. If it is gooey,

chewy, tangy, gluey, lumpy, fluffy, difficult to chew, or lettuce(cause it

wraps on his tongue), forget it, he's gagging and puking. Mushy is ok, as

long as it dissolves quickly in his mouth, as is soft, ie cooked cabbage or

very well done beans/grains(which are not acceptable to me as they cause

problems for him).

I'm telling you this so you know why it is so amazing that he liked your

idea. :) Thanks again!

Sincerely,

Michele
