Guest guest
Kathleen, This has been a learning experience for all of us. It must be terrible to have doctors refuse to treat your pain adequately because of your past experiences. I am ashamed of offending those who are addicted and are in treatment or who have overcome addiction and who have chronic pain. I certainly understand the quest for something to help with the pain. I have had doctors tell me that they would not prescribe a certain medication for me because I had requested it by name. Hmmm, all I was trying to tell them was that when I was given a certain medication for migraines as a college student, that it didn't do much for the migraines, but it did help with the chronic pain. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. It is worth careful reflection by all of us. As one person said, " There, but for the grace of God, go I.
