I've found that for me coconut oil is the perfect food during the undereating

phase. Ori doesn't mention it to my knowledge, but it requires little

digestion and doesn't affect insulin, so that would make it the perfect food. I

also supplement with celery when I have it.

Then I eat four hours during the night-- usually three courses, such as bacon

and eggs, a hamburger, a steak, followed by a few potatoes fried in lard with

garlic and onions, with each course supplemented with some side dish like

sprouted rye manna bread. The very last course I sort of consider my desert. I

got an ice cream maker for Christmas, so sometimes I have a quart or two of

ice cream instead of the potatoes.

My feedback on Warrior Diet is I feel fabulous! All the health problems I was

plagued with last year have cleared up or subsided. I've put on weight (I needed

to a little). Joanne (also on this list) has lost weight on it and we eat

really similarly (she reckons she needed to lose a bit). People keep saying

how well I look. Last year they went on about how thin and tired I looked. So

I'm a fan. And it's so easy! I agree with (or was it ?) that it's

very freeing. I don't have to cook during the day and in the evenings I can

space out the cooking and be relaxed about it. That article you posted was

great Heidi (http://www.lightlink.com/lark/interm)

Basically eat one meal a day. if you're hungry during the day, eat raw or light

protein such as lightly poached egg (I eat boiled for convenience and

transportability but not every day, usually just fruit. have a kefir smoothie

in the morning though).

At your big meal, eat to satiety (till you feel satisfied). Start raw with a

salad, then protein, finally carbs. (I like Hash browns : grated potato fried

in lots of coconut oil, sprinkled with salt and pepper) - yum scrum.

I bet you anything its the cubicle. I ordinarily don't need much food at all

during the day; but, during the semester, when I work as a chemistry tutor

for 2 4-hr shifts a week (yes I have another job ;-) ), I really need some food.

The combination of the fluorescent lighting and the sitting still really

messes up something-- cortisol maybe?

Anyway, why don't you try emphasizing fat? I go down to the cafeteria and

get cream of broccoli soup when I need something when I'm tutoring. Nuts have

fat, but I've never considered them to have any significant satiety value.

Something cream-based might help.

Thanks! That sounds like my preferred way of eating anyway. :) I am always

struggling to do small meals all day instead of snacks (like a smoothie or

fruits/veggies, handful nuts) and a big dinner, which I thought was bad.

Very confusing, all of this.

take care
