Guest guest
Okay, so I went on the Warrior diet way of eating a couple weeks before christmas with GREAT results. Hypoglycemia came under control, it was great. I got sick, went on vacation, and kind of lost track of the WD. So I started back up after vacation, and have been doing WD for 2 weeks. I am having problems with cravings during the day, especially early afternoon. I work in a cubicle all day, there is a cafeteria below me, soda machine on every floor, and vending machines abound. While I try and stick to my nutritious/WD snacks, I am having a terrible time avoiding the onslaught of junk food. I am also in a very stressful period at work. Here is a list of what I eat during the course of the day....any suggestions on ways to avoid these drawn out stressful afternoons of cravings would be great: AM - I have a small shake in the morning made up of eggs, whole milk, bit o cream, yogurt/keifer, and a bit of honey. (If I don't have this I find the hunger sneaks up on me by mid day really bad). While I am not working out regurlaly, I am a very 'bouncy' person and stay in shape and tone without trying very hard.....since the WD recommends a bit of protien during the day if you workout, I am guessing maybe I need an extra kick. For snacks during the day, I usually eat some nuts, dried fruit, raw snack veggies, or a piece of fresh fruit. PM - At night my meals vary as I am slowly trying to eliminate all SAD type items in my house (and convert a reluctant husband). 2-3 meals a week will be 100% NT, while the other meals are a mix of old recipes made with mostly natural ingredients. I still include grains. I try and eat a salad or some munchie veggies first, then dinner, then I will usually munch on things here and there until I go to bed. I am using a lot of butter and fat in the meals as well, no skimping. Is there anything I can improve here that will help the cravings. To tell you the truth, I don't necessarily crave junk food entirely, but I am sure not craving fruit or nuts. Even a good bowl of cottage cheese or something would be nice. I don't rightly know what is okay and not okay during this fasting period. Thanks in advance _________________________________________________________________ Learn how to choose, serve, and enjoy wine at Wine @ MSN. http://wine.msn.com/
