I apparently wasn't clear enough: I doubt the imbalance of n-6 to n-3s in the

MEAT plays a role in modern disease; I DON'T doubt that such an imbalance in

the total DIET does.

I never bring up n6:n3 ratios anymore because I do think the biggest issues

are the reduction in overall PUFA and the increase in overall nutrient

content, so in the political sense, as far as persuasion goes, yes, the

ratio is far from the best thing to mention. Since a lot of people care

about weight loss CLA content can often be very, very helpful, and it's

dramatically effected by even tiny quantities of grain in the feed -- the

100% vs. 95% difference, for example.
