Guest guest
Hi, my home-made yoghurt has gone sparkly, like Kefir. The texture is a bit slimier than my usual set yoghurt but otherwise it's set with a little whey on top just like normal. It tastes nice but not really like yoghurt, perhaps like a really mild yoghurt. Since it tastes nice and smells fine I'm eating it anyway but would be interested in any explanation of the fizz. I made it a bit differently by accidently boiling the raw goat's milk, and putting it into the yoghurt container which still had some of the previous yoghurt in as a starter. I guess I got lazy from Kefir making and didn't sterilize the container again. But what causes the fizz? Helen
