Guest guest
I've been using " POLITICS " at the end of the thread today, but I'm going to advocate we consistently use it at the beginning, just as a suggestion. First, FYI, the messages are truncated on my screen, but I usually see something like " PO " at the end. I don't care about that, though. The main reason I'm advocating putting " POLITICS " *before* the subject line is that with email clients that sort by subject line, if POLITICS is the first word after Native-Nutrition, consistently, all of the political messages will be in an entire block, and it will be much easier for the person who doesn't want any part in them to simply delete them in one fell swoop. OK, valuable information. >The main reason I'm advocating putting > " POLITICS " *before* the subject line is that with email clients that sort by >subject line, if POLITICS is the first word after Native-Nutrition, >consistently, >all of the political messages will be in an entire block, and it will be much >easier for the person who doesn't want any part in them to simply delete them >in one fell swoop. Good point. Even if someone has to delete several different blocks of POLITICS messages (due to different sets of prefixes) it'll still be easier that way. The revision will go into the list guidelines when I finish drafting them. -
