Yes, but I asked you how they would enforce it, and you said they wouldn't give you unemployment insurance, which isn't forcing you at all. So, while it would be awful if they were actually forcing people to work, unless you know what they're going to actually do to someone who refuses, the law doesn't seem to carry much meaning. A couple years ago I never thought I'd be greatful to live in America, but, if this is the kind of stuff that's going on in other countries... geez. I thought Austrailia was fairly liberal. > But ill let ya know once bill is all through and finalised. Please do. > Personally it think it sux a big 1 for what is essentially kids. Sure. But for everyone-- the idea that the government can force you to work is just a basic violation of fundamental human rights. > Hundreds of years ago we spent our days for our little communities doing > daily chores to help each other out ( some food, some a roof on your heat > ect ect ) > Then some idiot white man goes. hrm ill modernise society Hmm. I don't think that's what happened. Modernization's been going on for a tens of thousands of years, and it wasn't some white man's idea. > And now we are all worker ants for the man. Who doesn't care if ya die > along > the way because there another ant to replace you. It's important, I think, to distinguish between liberal economics and the sort of thing that's going on in your neck of the woods. Modern advances have been the result of liberal ideas, which rested on the idea that every human being has inalienable rights to freedom and property, which are the fundamental basis of liberty, while " the man, " i.e. the government, is coercive, tyrannical, and is based on the idea that a person is the property of the state. " Working for the man " is the kind of dynamic the folks in power in Austrailia are putting into place now (and in America, and elsewhere, but to a lesser extent), which is just the opposite of the grand ideas " white men " came up with as the foundation of modern society. Guest guest
I was quite shocked to hear about it. I see a BIG issue in australia right now with a suck ass PM And that is we seem to be adopting many things from many countries. IE America gets that new scan system at airports 2 days later Australia announces doing same thing. Eh Some other country does something, pretty soon after Australia announces it. Australia really sux atm. I want to move. Just got to get injury 100% and then save up and make a runner( somewhere where there raw milk hehe ) It would be interesting below to know what the vision was for the 1st group of people who tried to put together the first big true society and moving forward technology wise. I bet they are turning over in their graves now as they forgot about certain things like greed, no remorsefulness to nature/people ect >It's important, I think, to distinguish between liberal economics and the >sort of thing that's going on in your neck of the woods.
