Guest guest
Greetings, Oxy-listers, I have had a problem with herpes on my lip for 20 years. It has been very quiet lately, in no small part to the use of my trusty laser pen. However, I just had another outbreak and want to know if something I have started to do has stimulated the virus. In August, I stopped taking the estrogen/progesterone I had been using for 5 years (although it was a very natural formulation). To help with sleep and hot flashes, I increased my Vit E and started using progesterone cream. Do you think either one of these things could have been a trigger? It seems unlikely, but I can't figure out why this happended now, when I am well, not stressed, and not in the sun. I had wanted to take DHEA as a supplement, but feared it might be just such a stimulent, so I have not taken it. Do you think it can act that way? Thanks for helping me, as walking around with a crusty lip is mighty unsightly! Phyllis
