hello-

i'm coming in late in this topic. trying to wade through several digests and

catch up. forgive me if this is duplicate info.

when i went to the wap conference last year sally fallon mentioned adding

alcohol (like vodka or something) to the ice cream as an " anti-freeze. " she

claimed it made it softer. i haven't tried making ice cream yet so i can't vouch

for it. she also said that her favorite was adding a flavored liquor, i believe

amaretto. she said it was very yummy. sorry i don't know an exact amount, but

i don't think it was much- teaspoon or tablespoon maybe. does anyone else that

was there remember?

take care,

beverly

--- Ice cream won't freeze so hard when some of the stuff which is

hard when frozen is removed,ie water. Add bananas or powdered milk
