Guest guest
Loved Sally Fallon at the Small Farm Conference in Michigan. My husband sat in on a session with Elliot as well. Although, I already knew most of the info. she presented I still learned some tid-bits and enjoyed her very much. I think she was amazed at the amount of people that attended and she sold out on all of the books she brought. She discussed how to keep the value added down on the farm in her keynote talk and in her first workshop session she discussed Dr. Price's travel and work. The second workshop was on nutrition, fats, recipes, etc. Finally, she had a question and answer session. The time went to fast! When we doctors check them, we order 'fasting lipid panels.' All the research that has been done on heart disease and cholesterol is based on 'fasting' levels. Lipid levels measured after a meal are meaningless. The nurse or physician who checked your husband's cholesterol level should have made sure he was fasting - hard to believe they didn't! In any case, perhaps you could petition the insurance company to recheck your husband's fasting cholesterol level?

I usually give it at least 12 hours of fasting. Evidently water and clear liquids are OK. I have gone in at 8 AM for blood tests and get the blood drawn within a couple minutes of when I arrive, so I can then go somewhere and eat. Guest guest
Thats is a great thought for the insurance company, they did not mention a thing about fasting or to stop eating any certain time.
