Guest guest
http://www.sambiser.com/discoveries/x-rated_beverages.html Very interesting article <bwsg> Sample excerpt (but do read the complete article): One study from way back (Northwest Medicine, May 1969) showed that beer caused geriatric patients to become more friendly, more communicative and more aware of events. One of the most significant observations was that incontinence DECREASED on the daily regimen of beer, and it was also possible to reduce the use of psychotropic drugs. The article stated, ‘When the supply of beer was no longer available, deterioration was soon apparent, and nurses reported that regression occurred in all areas of behavior. Several patients required an increase in medication, and neatness and grooming were obviously less, and irritability increased.’ The demonstration was enough to convince the owner of the nursing home to install a draft beer dispensing unit. His decision to do so was the realization that the patients were happier on a daily ration of beer. But since an outlaw with his little band Cannot bring half such mischief on the land Or be the cause of so much harm and grief, He only earns the title of a thief.
