manufacturing soil (was Fuel oil from crops vs. sustainable agriculture)

ok, one guy i recently quoted from the brix talk list sells soil amendments

(not sure if that's the correct phraseology) that make the soil healthier -

presumably more fertile. i would be interested in any comments on his

products to " manufacture " healthy soil. btw - he uses Mycorrhizal Fungi,

which someone else mentioned is a " living " soil enhancer.
