That's the whole point. Marriage is a religious institution. What the heck

does government have to do with it? The whole thing with civil unions versus

marriages is that they are legally the same thing, but in one case there is no

recognition or a religious act which did not occur.

Yet, there still is no reason for government to be legalizing *any* form of

relationship. Why on earth do two individuals need a government to " recognize "

or " officialize " ANY kind of relationship between them?

The solution is for government to just get the hell out of the marriage

business, period.

That's entirely problematic, since the distinction between what magnitude of

modification constitutes natural modification and what magnitude constitutes a

transition to the realm of " false fake " is entirely arbitrary.

Technically in Australian constitution atleast they are not meant to have

any control. Yet they just force the issue.

( something we are bringing up with them trying to close all legal loopholes
