Guest guest
Very interesting. Thanks. But nothing about diet. It's not surprising that people on poor diets with T-2 diabetes have children on poor diets that have markers for T-2 diabetes. They mention defects lipid metabolism. What is it that polyunsaturated oils do that is harmful. Don't they force the fats out into areas where they don't belong? Could this be a reason for the defective lipid metabolism? I don't eat PUFAs so never paid more than a passing interest in what I read about them. This line what got me. " These new findings identify potential new targets for drugs. . . " It sounds to me as if they are looking for another market for drugs. Judith Alta -----Original Message----- From: Wanita Sears [mailto:wanitawa@...] , This talks about ATP. Guest guest
Drug route with this rather than food or supplements is the usual disappointing conclusion. I agree it looks like PUFAs and /or trans fats are doing this. Didn't know anything about them until a few years ago. Had no clue Crisco or bottled oil wasn't the same as the lard we had growing up. Mom's diabetic, have controlled my hypoglycemia with diet. This does concern me with our youngest daughter because of what I read in The Good Fat Cookbook. Fran Mc Cullough notes Bruce Fife N.D. describing liver spots, which I got on my right lower back carrying her as omega 3 imbalance. That the fetus will steal Mom's DHA if mom's diet is deficient, which it was. Also her easy bruising when young as too much omega 3. Tried vitamin c and bioflavanoids which didn't work. Homeopathic arnica did then. Looks like nature gave her what she needed. Easier getting me to take omega 3s. > Very interesting. Thanks. > > But nothing about diet.
