Guest guest
-, you should be scared as it is true. You need to search out in your area, people like me who are raising chicken the right way with low stocking densities, no antibiotics so they can develop their own immune system, and raised outside on grass and in the sunshine. We have our chicken routinely tested for ecoli, salmonella, and listeria, always negative. Go to www.localharvest.org or www.eatwild.com and do a search for your area producer. Guest guest
I think Kip's remarks imply a better attitude towards these kinds of media reports: They raise awareness of the battle between different agricultural practices, and the only missing ingredient in the solution to the problem of restoring acceptable farming conventions is public awareness. Be grateful for any attacks on meat, dairy, or eggs. Mike SE Pennsylvania > > Well the news did the routine. Guest guest
i agree. i have to say, every time a report like this is carried on VPR (our only real source of news way out here), we get a new rush of phone calls of people who are completely uneducated but trying to find " safe " meat. remember that first one i wrote to ya'll about? i get them regularly now! actually and it's really fun too, cause i love watching the people learn...just, now we need to ramp up quick! anyway, one at a time, people are getting the clue! -katja At 07:23 AM 2/16/2004, you wrote: >I think Kip's remarks imply a better attitude towards these kinds of >media reports: They raise awareness of the battle between different >agricultural practices, and the only missing ingredient in the >solution to the problem of restoring acceptable farming conventions >is public awareness. Guest guest
Ah really! Well the chicken(s) they all test was EVERYTHING except the freerange organic chickens I buy. So I have no idea of their quality in terms of bad bugs. _____ From: Kip Glass [mailto:glassmagic@...] Sent: Monday, 16 February 2004 9:57 PM Subject: Re: latest chicken scares -, you should be scared as it is true.
