Guest guest
When this thread started my attitude toward homosexuality was, " live and let live. " As long as they were not pushing their way on me, and none have, I really didn't care what a person's sexual preferences were. I have known several homosexuals over the years. Some have even been close friends, and all were decent people. Since reading the posts on this thread I have come to look on homosexuality differently. More sympathetically, as I would look at any disadvantaged group. Like some, I believed that marriage between same-sex partners was not necessary. But I was not against it. Since reading the posts in this thread, especially 's, I can see the advantages to same-sex marriage, and, as others have said, what harm would it do? It does far more harm for a homosexual to marry a person of the opposite sex, have children with that person, and then leave for a same-sex partner. I have seen this happen, and the psychological damage done to the spouse and children was great. Judith Alta
