Guest guest
Folks, I'm rather disturbed by the amount of bitterness and rancor flowing back and forth in this thread. Since there is no conceivable relation between the issue and the purpose of this list, I'm asking you to think long and hard before sending any more posts on the subject to the list. I will be emailing somebody offlist, too, and to lead by example, I will refrain from responding to 's response to me. I'm not ready to shut down the discussion completely (far from it) but unlike past political discussions, this is getting serious. Also, I would like to point out that ALL of these messages after the first few should have had the POLITICS tag. -

Yes, provided that you refrain from responding to bitterness and rancor and thus drawing it out (as I said, I'm also dealing with this offlist) and that you make sure to include the POLITICS tag. Unfortunately, this is a hot-button issue, and if the discussion continues as it is now, it'll hurt the ability of the list to attract and help people interested in nutrition. -
