Guest guest
I have found that swooshing my mouth out with KT vinegar several times a day took a lot of the discomfort away from a mouthful of ulcers, and helped them to heal much more quickly than otherwise. Best wishes,

If the ulcers are herpes-related, supplementing with the amino acid lysine works extremely well for a lot of people. The virus uses lysine in its metabolic processes, I was told, and by providing it with lots of lysine it speeds it through it's life cycle. I have also heard different explanations, but whatever the mechanism, lysine works extremely well for both my husband and I, and we've both had oral herpes since childhood. Herpes breakouts can occur in response to dietary issues (chocolate can be a big one) and stress (which can include both emotional/mental and physical). Pharmaceuticals can be stressful on the body, but perhaps certain medicines utilize lysine in some way or otherwise encourage herpes mechanically. In any case, herpes is endemic in our environment (some 95% of humans carry the virus) and mouth ulcers (also known as canker sores or cold sores) are often a herpes manifestation. For years I seldom had a breakout because when I would get the tingly warning feeling I would dose heavily on lysine. Since drinking KT, I almost never have the tingly warning either. Definitely improvement on that issue. --V ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J. Muste
