If you suddently decide to stop eating normal amounts of food one day, you probably won't feel great. If those nuts were coconuts you might be okay. Guest guest
LOL! I was out of it, whew! So it's normal, then, which is good. It was only after lugging home myAsian Market stuff..... 8 mangos, 6lb Malanga/taro root(one root, and it was cut off something!), 20 lemons, 5 tangerines, 2 grapefruit, 8lb nappa cabbage, one crab to set free, two fish to eat, etc and stuff from target, plus the crying screaming( " I can't walk!! " " MY BUTT HURTS!! " anything to get me to pick him up, but I was strong) toddler, and people staring at me like I was the worst mother EVER, then hanging over the pier and freeing the blue crab, which clung like an idiot to the paper bag, so I had to rip it out, then explaining to Gaby why we couldn't keep it as a pet and why some people eat them. Just typing it makes me want to pass out. I'm cool now. Good grief. Tomorrow I'll eat more fruit and some veggie juice. Did you lose weight on this diet? I've barely read the posts on this until recently. Too many to read though in the archives. I'd like to lose some weight, but the digestion improvement people have experienced is what caught my eye. When I was raw I ate like that. I used to stop eating at midnight(I worked nights) and not eat until 4 pm, at which point I had fruits, juice, a couple nuts, but then I'd binge on veggies and nuts and greens at night. I'm trying to eat more like I did then, with the addition of fish and eggs, so the WD seemed like a good choice. I'm trying to get my mom on it, she's like 300lb, my sister too. Thanks again Heidi take care Michele >From: Heidi Schuppenhauer <heidis@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Warrior Diet Day One >Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 20:17:57 -0800 > > : > >Anyone else feel weak/dizzy at first? Which I need to lay off anyway cause I'm holey. I ate that many coconuts when I was pregnant, at least 3 times a week! Young ones, though, mm, fresh from Chinatown.....10$ a case, I miss NYC. I used to eat them at work, LOL, and hack them apart in the break room with the security guy's screwdriver and hammer. I think I'll do better tomorrow, I actually have a coconut in the fridge...but are they allowed as a snack? The specifics are confusing to me. Guest guest
>Did you lose weight on this diet? I've lost about 15 lbs so far. I lose quicker when I REALLY stick to it. ;--) But it seems to be all fat loss ... I've gained some muscle, I think (I'm stonger by a long shot). However, the people who did NOT need to lose weight, didn't lose weight (I think Chris actually gained some, as muscle). >I've barely read the posts on this until >recently. I went on it mainly to stabilize my " blood sugar " -- I would get SOOO grouchy and hungry if breakfast was late and needed to snack constantly, which was getting harder and harder to do (finding GF snacks!). But I've stopped being sleepy during the day, have zero hypoglycemia, and now I don't have to cook or clean as often (every one else here went on the WD too ... ). > I'm trying to get my mom on it, she's like 300lb, my sister too. Poor lady. Yeah, it could help her. Esp. if she eats a lot of fruits and vegies (and fish and eggs) like you. I think it is the easy starches (crackers, cake, bread, etc., esp. the wheat ones) that make it easy to pack on pounds. >Thanks again Heidi Sure .. thank Micheal, he introduced this crazy diet ... -- Heidi Jean
Guest guest
> Ok, so this is day one officially doing Warrior Diet. Am I supposed to feel > dizzy? Is this normal for the first day? Michele, I would say you need to eat more during the undereating phase. It is an UNDEReating phase and not a fasting phase. So I would say graze as much as you like. I have a fresh fruit/veggie juice, followed by a kefir smoothie with bananas and raw eggs. Then during the day I graze on raw veggies (cucumbers/carrots), fruit, almonds and raw milk. - Filippa

Joanne Hay (also on this list) has lost weight and she eats really similarly to me. So I think we can verify that those who need to gain, gain and those who need to lose, lose. - Filippa

Guest guest
I tried eating more today..or drinking, I had a smoothie, some pecans, and an apple, a pomegranate. I felt better, though my shopping trip nearly knocked me out again. It's good though, I used to do this stuff every day with no problem, but my supportive partner got me lazy. I soooooo want to make goats milk kefir but cannot find goats milk. The one NT enthusiast I've met was months ago, and I can never find her. I only know her first name, but she knows where to get the good milk. If only I wasn;t so stubborn. I was like, " Milk bad, all milk bad. " Except mine, of course. Can't kefir my own, not enough any more! Thank you for the suggestions! I will follow them. Guest guest
filippa (and others) i was wondering about the raw milk - is that kosher for the undereating phase? --> as far as I know it is. I think he talks about eating light proteins during the undereating phase. But I'm really not that strict. I just eat NT type food, no grains (most of the time) and graze as I said earlier during the undereating phase and eat well during feast phase - has worked great for me.
