How exactly do husbands and wives work together for God in a way that two women or two men can't...or for that matter even a community of people focused on the same goal? The only difference I can think of is that an opposite sex married couple can have children who carry their genes. There's got to be more I'm missing??? Thanks in advance! Guest guest
Hi Lynn, What I meant is that the differences between a man and a woman means that they each contribute different things to the partnership and in different ways. I'm speaking in generalities, obviously, but for instance my male friends and male family members contribute aspects to my life that the females in my life don't, and vice versa. For one example (and this is just a generality), men often offer solutions and practical support to a problem while women offer empathy and emotional support. My father is a pastor and I've often seen how my parents' partnership works so well together in this way as they relate to people and situations in their congregation. A community can of course work together well also for the same reasons, each gender and each person offering their unique contributions. But I was speaking specifically of marriage. ~ Fern From: " Lynn Razaitis " <lyn122@...> > ---> Fern...OK now I'm curious! Lesbian marriage would therefore be dangerous threat to familial development, because the light bulbs would never get changed. Chris
