Guest guest Posted February 26, 2004 Report Share Posted February 26, 2004 Hi , I'm sure you've already researched this, but I recently found out about the importance of darkness and sleep. My nights have changed from restless to sound sleep by wearing a mask! We just can't exclude all the light from the room as we have streetlights at window level right outside, so until we get blackouts I've been using an eye mask. If you're not already doing this, I'd recommend it as it's made a dramatic difference to the quality of my sleep, if not the length (which has always been 8-9hours). What helps us is we sometimes have " blackout " nights. That is, when the sun goes down, we just use flashlights and candles (and computer light ;-) It's amazing how much different a person sleeps doing that. The kids love it.
