Guest guest
Bonne Maman's Frosting Recipe Ingredients: 1 egg 3/4 cup confectionate sugar (substitute whatever you think will work) 1/2 cup unsalted butter 2 ounces semi-sweet melted chocolate (my family only accepts Belgian for this, heh) -OR- about 1 tablespoon ground coffee plus 2 tablespoons water -OR- 1/4 cup cocoa or carob powder Directions: Beat egg well, then add sugar slowly. Then add melted chocolate, coffee, or powder. Add butter bit by bit (about 1/2 tablespoon at a time). Note: If the mixture isn't beaten correctly this mixture will separate (especially the coffee). I have been able to save it by adding another egg then being more careful as I repeat the instructions above. This recipe scales well. Obviously you'd only want to use this for very special occasions with the sugar in it. Enjoy!
