Guest guest
Hi Just to be clear, you attributed my email address to something Heidi wrote. But since you brought it up, I did cut my electricity consumption down 30-50% (all electric house) starting about four months ago. I was eating 75-100% raw foods, which take little if any heat to prepare. I turned my frig way down as fruits and veg require a less cold environment than animal foods. It wasn't an optimal choice for my body, but it sure cut my energy usage down. I'd rather keep my email address out of the loop, if you wouldn't mind cutting it out. Thanks. Guest guest
>I suggest you test this by cutting your consumption in half for a month and >see if you notice. > >Chris We are! Actually I've been cutting it over the last year or so, which is partly what is making me think about this. Everything was getting so complicated in the shopping department, I decided to simplify. My goal this year is to figure out how to grow a garden, and figure out how much our family actually NEEDS to eat. However, we eat very well and the consensus is we eat much, much better than we used to (tastier food, nice big portions). We've also been cutting back on other stuff. Like I said, I think a lot of us overconsume. Now, when I was in college, as you are I think? -- I was far, far more efficient. I bought one chicken a week, which was dinner for the whole week -- some potatoes, tortillas, lettuce, onions, cheese, tomatoes, milk, eggs, and taco sauce. Maybe some tomato paste to make enchiladas too, and occasionally a lb of hamburger. That is all I could afford. At that point in my life, no, I could not cut it by half. -- Heidi Jean

Guest guest
***** Your email address always shows, BTW, if you send email and it is delivered as individual emails. -- Heidi Jean ***** Dear Heidi, Yes, I know that, but this group is public, I believe. Therefore, when it gets posted on , if my address is part of the text of a message, it will be subject to any web robots that might be scanning that page. If you notice when reading or posting at , the address does not show, only a few letters of it do. They are protecting against this kind of lifting of email addresses from their site from bulk spammers. I have been victimized in such a way before. Now, if some member of the group wanted to do such a thing, then yes, it is readable from the heading of the individual email. But none of you would do such a thing, right?
