Guest guest
I love beets too, anyway they come (except canned). I grate them in carrot-raisin salad. Golden beets are to die for - steamed, peeled with a smudge of butter. I love liver too, especially chicken liver. But my family is not too keen on my method of sautéing with onions and mushrooms. Any suggestions for easing liver into the diet of liver wimps? Perhaps pâté? Any recipes??? I confess that I just ordered the book myself . . . and it won't ship for two weeks. I have been chewing on everything at the WAPF website and am joining them. So being on this list may be a bit premature, but as I transition my diet to more traditional fare, it is very helpful to have the support. So thanks y'all. Deanna then again, i'm russian by ancestory and i LURRRRRVE me some beets. pickled, fresh, boiled, mashed, pretty much any old way is fine with me -katja, who should get a copy of the book. Guest guest
hee. deanna, i mean the WD book. i couldn't LIVE without the NT book, and in fact, i've already gone through two cases of them in my fervor to .....ahem, evangelize. (!) but, lamely, i'm WDing without the WD book. which is generally against my grain (pun considered) but sometimes, that's the way it goes. but being on the list is totally not premature! katja At 04:11 PM 2/26/2004, you wrote: >I confess that I just ordered the book myself . . . and it won't ship for >two weeks. Guest guest
Right. That's kind of the plan I have for Lent. Isn't it one main meal a day and snackies? Sounds good. Who wrote the Warrior Diet book? Is that the title? Thanks for your help. Deanna hee. deanna, i mean the WD book.
Guest guest
Deanna, My mother used to fry bacon and onions with beef liver, and my siblings and I learned to like it at a young age ... the bacon really helps to flavor the liver. ~ Fern ----- Original Message ----- From: " Deanna " I love liver too, especially chicken liver. Guest guest
Onions make me sick. I hate them worse than anything. I can eat liver but don't really like it. I might try it with bacon as bacon makes about anything better. I like chicken livers and I like deer liver but beef liver has too strong a taste for me. >Deanna, > >My mother used to fry bacon and onions with beef liver, and my siblings and >I learned to like it at a young age ... the bacon really helps to flavor >the liver. > >~ Fern > > > >----- Original Message ----- >From: " Deanna " > >I love liver too, especially chicken liver. If I slide it down fast enough, maybe I won't notice it. <g> As far as cooked liver, even pate doesn't cut it for this liver wimp - I can still taste it, and I just think it tastes nasty. Of course, Heidi's got me swigging down kefir now, so if THAT can happen ... MFJ Any moment in which you feel like dancing is a perfect moment.
