Don't worry about the " celiac " label ... a person becomes " celiac " when they get a certain *level* of gut damage ... a classification which is WAY out of date. (kind of like classifying diabetics by how much gangrene they have!). Most people with gluten intolerance NEVER develop celiac, but there are a lot more studies on celiac, since it's been researched since 1950 or so. >Take care, > >Michele...still floating on an oxytocin high from eating Curry Coconut >Shrimp with loved ones :~) Ymmmm ... Guest guest
Thank you again. I think it's something like 50% + of people here have damaged intestinal tracks/hyperpermeability of some kind? When I tell people what's wrong with me they look at me all concerned and sad. I always tell them it's so prevalent its almost normal. Gives them something to think about. So many children now have this. I can practically look at a kid and tell whether they are going to get asthma or not. I told my friend her 22 mos old would have asthma if she didn't improve her nutrition; she is now 3 1/2 with full blown asthma, the kid's on medication and an inhaler several times a day. Her mother is either too stubborn or too attached to the attention she gets from her kid being sick to change anything. She even went to one doctor who agreed with me, and still won't make even a few changes. It makes me so mad, I won't even talk to her now, though we've known each other since birth. I was trying to be understanding until the mom saw me in the store and proudly, almost bragging, told me, " Bella's got blood pouring out of her ears. MMm hmmph, for two weeks now. " I fell into it and looked horrified, but that was the last time. Wow, I really spun off a bit. Anyway, yeah that shrimp was really good. I never made shrimp before, so I figured coconut curry anything is good. I made it up as I went along and had some broccoli steamed in a little chicken broth which I poured the curry sauce on. Yum! Anyway take care & thanks again Michele >From: Heidi Schuppenhauer <heidis@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: i need some sanity: baby nutrition >Date: Fri, 27 Feb 2004 23:00:27 -0800 > > > > >Thank you so much for the information, Heidi!
