I disagree with your position on this. While its unjust that the government is taxing people for government retirement and thereby preventing them from saving a portion of their money, it's also true that people who want to retire should save their money, so they live off the fruits of their own efforts, rather than the fruits of other people's efforts. If they do so, the government has no means to " force " them or give them an " incentive " to stay in the work force. Chris

Guest guest
That is true. However, what about the UBANDANCE of tax one pays ? does that not count for something over 50 odd years. Also our superannuation here is taxed 3x! + fees Ok you get your weekly wage. That gets taxed. Company you work for puts the allotted super in your super account that gets taxed. Contributions you make personally from your taxed wage gets taxed. The fund gets taxed quarterly along with management and handling fees. ( I had a super account I was unaware of that was $1200. cpl of years later it was $400 ) Then when you want to take your super out. There is management fee and once again TAXed If they didn't do all this tax and exuberant fees A LOT more ppl would be financially well off come 65. And could survive for some time. There was a comic in our papers yesterday about our PM. They had him in a wheelchair with oxygen mask on ect. Another geriatric politician goes. See that. That's a man, pm is 85 years old in a wheelchair and oxygen and he is STILL working. haha _____ From: ChrisMasterjohn@...
