Hi Deanna,

No problem :-)

Umm, ok. I hope mine doesn't get in your way.

Thanks.

Oh, I do. I've made several posts in the last two days that didn't get any

responses yet, but which I thought were interesting-- namely, the effect of

sleep on brain cholesterol levels, the possibility that rats traditionally eat

ala the Warrior Diet, and the effects of calorie restriction on reproductive

capacity.

Yep, that's me! I'm bigger now though :-)

Sure. Today I tested my 1-rep unassisted bench press maximum at 225. That's

a milestone, because it's two plates. Whee!

I alternate between the gym and kettlebells. I just started with kettlebells

this Christmas. I used them for two weeks, then went back for a 2-month

cycle at the gym. After next week, I'm going to go back to kettlebells for 3

weeks, after which I'm going to alternate two months at the gym with a month of

kettlebells. When at the gym, I primarily use the squat, bench press, and

deadlift, with acessory exercises such as incline dumbell presses, weighted

dips,

dumbell arm curls, and pullups (palms forward) on my bench press days, and ab

exercises such as hanging leg raises, and supersets of situps on that thing

that makes me hang upside down, leg raises on the floor, and oblique crunches.

I bench 225, squat only 250, deadlift 320 (I'm going for 330 this Saturday),

and use 62.5 pounds (increase 2.5 each week) for weighted dips, doing 3 sets

of five.

Any comments? Do you work out?

Chris

Have you also been doing.trying the bodyweight exercises that people have

previously spoke about. Where you preiodicalyl do 3-5 reps at different

moments throughout the day. Ive been doing some things ect modified. And I

have to say within weeks body parts feel lighter ect.

Like it really enhances your economy of motion.

I remember doing superslow and each week incrementing the weight by 2 pounds

week after week.

And while I lifted some massive weight in the end ( which I think helped

with my injury considerably in its cause )

I really never felt that feeling of the muscles economy beign enhanced.

What I mean is less effort to raise arm ect. Everything feels lighter.

I never got that solely doing gym work( I was doing primary movements like

squat, bench, clean and press ect )

From a routine I got from 1 of bruce lee books way back
