I don't know how to describe the taste ... maybe a little like goat cheese? The main thing is the texture ... it is GOOEY. Thick. So it coats berries, which is how the Finnish love to have it for breakfast. Also very good in baking. The thickness is from polysaccharides, which can be very healthy for you (some polysaccarides are highly anti-carcinogenic -- I don't know if these are). Mostly it's great in smoothies because you don't have to add sweetener to overcome the sour taste.
