Guest guest
> REAL Mexican cooking is very NT. They sell dried shrimp in the Mexican section > of our supermarket (but in very small quantities ... costs too much that way). I haven't gone into our local asian market recently, but I was in one of the local health food stores last night. I checked out their bitty Asian section. Their dried shrimp had color added to it. That was a surprise. I'm hoping the Asian market has a dried shrimp available without colors, though not knowing the languages I may not be able to tell from the packages! I never knew that people would eat them straight as a snack. I can't wait to try it! Ghislaine

Mine doesn't SAY it has color, but it's hard to know with Asian food! >I never knew that people would eat them straight as a snack. I can't >wait to try it! When I did a web search once for " dried shrimp " I got a Thai shrimp salad recipe .... whole baby shrimp marinated in something or another, a big bowl of 'em as a salad! Talk about a healthy salad! -- Heidi Jean
