Hi all -- there is a discussion of good books, expecially those that have helped us with our arthritis, in the Forums section of arthritis.about.com , NJ Highlands raharris@... __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I can't wait to see 's Ashes myself, I think I shall have to take my daughter though since my husband's PA limits the time he can sit in the theater. In reading the book , I was struck with how totally awful McCourt's life had been - yet he rose above that to become successful. A good message for all of us no matter what our afflictians. For those of you who don't like reading so very much - don't overlook books on audiotapes. I gave myself " Tis " - McCourts continuation of life in America for a gift and enjoy it during my car commutes. Great too for when I am trying to get some walking in. Hope everyone has a healthier day. Jan
Guest guest
I'm getting ready to buy some books I've been craving for awhile now and can't remember the name or purchasing location of the SCD cookbook. (And I lost all my saved msgs from this list where I had asked about the book before and I believe gave it a good review.) So... Could someone tell me the name of the SCD cookbook and where (what website) it is for sale on? Thanks much! Besides it I'm going to get Dangerous Grains and Warrior Diet. Is there any difference between the two editions of Warrior Diet? Have a book you want to throw out for me to consider? : ) Thanks! Guest guest
Hmm. I've found two SCD cookbooks. Anyone have experience with these? SCD With Taste and Tradition - Recipe Book http://www.digestivewellness.com/shop/product1.asp?SID=8 & Product_ID=26 and Lucy's Specific Carbohydrate Diet Cookbook http://www.lucyskitchenshop.com/cookbook.html We love the nut muffins from Breaking the Vicious Cycle and I'm basically looking for more ways to do without those troublesome glutens. Fun ways. Thanks for any input : ) Rhea

Some really delicious stuff in there. -
