pasteurized beer?

I had assumed that beer is usually pasteurized unless it says otherwise, but

so far whenever I've asked a manufacturer who doesn't mention it anywhere, the

beer has not been pasteurized. Mostly I've asked microbreweries, but I just

asked Harpoon, which is very widely available, and they said they use no

pasteurization, and " very few craft brewers do, because the equipment is so

expensive. "
