Guest guest
Dear Native Nutrition members, I am very thankful for this forum and all of the excellent and truely effective information and posts being offered. Perhaps you could please help me with my current situation? For about 2 years now, I have been only able to sleep 4 or 5 hours a night, very lightly and easily awakened, usually awaking around 4 to 5 am, otherwise undisturbed, all by myself, even if I went to sleep at midnight, or later (if I fall asleep earlier, like at 8pm, I still wake up too early around 1 am). Also, I experience from time to time stange, spontaneous, forceful, abrupt interruptions of otherwise restful, normal dreams resulting in quickly becoming wide awake way too early, becoming conscious of my body remaining perfectly still and still at rest, followed immediately then by an intense urge to stretch fully my legs and arms and back, etc, and then not being able to go back to sleep at all for the rest of the day. If I get disturbed with the slightest noise in the first critical 5-60 minutes of half conscious half dreamy transition into full sleep, I immediately become wide awake, and often unable then to fall back asleep for the rest of that night, 'crashing' briefly around 7-9 am, if at all. I have tried many relaxtion/sleep herbs, like valerian root, and Dr. Christophe's Relax-Eze, and none of them, no matter how strong the dose, make any difference at all. And there is research that this regular lack of sleep is elevating and desensitizing me to my own insulin. About a year after my sleep problems, I was diagnosed with (early onset) Type II diabetes, with a GTT of 137 after an hour, but the 6 month control was still normal, and so far I am able to lower and control my glucose levels signficantly with just 30 minutes of vigorous exercise, WAPF recommended diet, and supplements (like Goat's Rue, Bannaba, etc.) If you would be willing to give me some advice on how I might sleep fully 8 hours a night, I would be very thankful, and would like to personally correspond with you with one more detail about my situation involving a medication. Please email me personally at 'brotherdavid@...' if you would like to help with some ideas. Thanks so much, M. -- _______________________________________________ Get your free email from http://www.iname.com
