Guest guest
Are there any skills in particular that you want to improve? Have you got a trampoline? Gym ball to play on? barby181075 wrote: Dear Parents, As you know have a child that turned 3 last monday. Can you suggest me some toys that can help him to improve his skills? Thanks

Guest guest
jigsaws? matching games like lotto, animal pairs, sorting things that go together -- brush and dustpan etc. Stacking jugs, Duplo, threading beads -- we didn't do ABA so I can't relate directly to what you would need Sally barby181075 wrote: > > > > > > > > Dear Parents, > > > > > > As you know have a child that turned 3 last monday. Can you suggest > me > > > some toys that can help him to improve his skills? Thanks > > > > > > > > > Hi,thanks for your reply,i was thinking of educational toys,we also do > ABA so its difficult to find new toys,he gets bored easily.something > creative w > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG - http://www.avg.com > Version: 8.0.175 / Virus Database: 270.9.8/1801 - Release Date: 20/11/2008 09:11 > >
Guest guest
Somebody already said car boot sales, I would add charity shops because you can buy lots of things for next to nothing and see what works before you spend real money. Slightly dearer is cash convertors, but you will be amazed at how much really good educational type toys are out there that people no longer want, the other thing for more expensive SEN specific toys would be your local toy library attached to SN provision, if your not sure where that might be ask your local autistic society. I wasted so much money in the old days picking what I thought were the perfect toys and may well have been for another child. Vicky
Guest guest
It depends what you are trying to teach - all good recommendations so far...we used lots of puzzles, small world toys were a big hit here when our son was 3 and any of the characters he could see on the TV were also a big hit(In the Night Garden was a favourite), we then taught him play skills with them in his program which he expanded on. He also started liking trains when he was 3ish. The mini-trampoline was great for us, he also liked little electronic toys, kitchen set, picnic set. The Memory game was also a big hit when he was 3ish, doesn't require advanced language to learn, just need basic turn taking skills. He also liked his plastic animals, barn, etc. good luck, Darla > > > > > > Dear Parents, > > > > > > As you know have a child that turned 3 last monday. Can you suggest > me > > > some toys that can help him to improve his skills? Thanks > > > > > > > > > Hi,thanks for your reply,i was thinking of educational toys,we also do > ABA so its difficult to find new toys,he gets bored easily.something > creative w >
